Published prices checked 2 November 2026; links in Sources. Luvo Home's listing for the ellipse tub gives its width and length in the opposite order to its title, so the size is shown as listed. Cultheir does not publish dimensions.
Resin and engineered-stone tubs, and listings priced in other currencies, are left out. Stone Forest shows a custom oval tub in Travertino Romano but publishes no price (not published), so it is not in the table. Luvo Home's pages say natural travertine without using the word solid; Marblebee describes its freestanding oval as carved from solid travertine.

What drives the price of a travertine bathtub?
Stone, block size, carving, finish and freight set the price. Stone matters most: Marblebee lists a 70.87 × 31.5 × 23.6 in tub at $11,220 in beige travertine and $18,850 in green onyx, a 68% premium for identical dimensions. Within travertine, Cultheir's made-to-order tubs cost about twice the $9,485 median.
- Block size and walls: a longer, deeper tub needs a bigger block and removes more stone. Marblebee publishes weights of 620 to 810 kg (about 1,370 to 1,790 lb) for its travertine tubs, and Luvo Home publishes wall thickness of 0.75 to 1.25 in.
- Carving and finish: Cultheir offers The Henry in honed, polished or sandblasted finishes and welcomes custom dimensions. Its separate sandblasted tub lists $1,000 above The Henry.
- Freight: tubs this heavy ship crated. Cultheir ships crated and insured and quotes white-glove delivery as a separate rate.
- Weight matters for the room as well as the invoice. Travertine runs about 156 lb/ft³ against 168 for marble; see the weight guide.
What installation and extra costs come with a stone bathtub?
Budget for a drain, plumbing, delivery into the room and a floor check on top of the tub price. Marblebee sells a tub drain with a matching stone cover for $145. Plumbing labor is not published by any seller above, so get a quote from a licensed plumber and ask a structural engineer to check the floor before you order.
- Floor: our model of a 67 × 31 × 22 in marble tub weighs about 1,150 lb empty and about 1,960 lb filled with a 200 lb bather, roughly 170 psf on its footprint against 40 psf typical residential live load. Check with a structural engineer and local code.
- Drain and filler: check each listing for what is included. Marblebee prices its drain separately.
- Delivery: Luvo Home gives 1,200 lb including packaging for its 60 in tub. Confirm door widths, stairs and the route into the bathroom before delivery is booked.
How does travertine bathtub price change with size?
Length alone does not set the price. A 60 in Luvo Home tub costs $9,118.80, more than Marblebee's 68.9 in tub at $8,550 and its 65.0 in tub at $8,990. The seller, the finish and how the tub is made matter as much as inches.
- Under 66 in long: $7,930 to $9,250 (four tubs).
- 66 to 71 in long: $8,550 to $13,900 (four tubs).
- Dimensions not published: $18,500 and $19,500 (both Cultheir).
How do you compare quotes for a travertine bathtub?
Ask every seller for the same facts, then compare delivered totals rather than sticker prices. The list that matters is the stone and whether it is a single block, outer and inner dimensions, wall thickness, weight, finish, drain cutout, packaging, freight terms and lead time. A quote that leaves any of these out cannot be compared with one that includes them.
- Price basis: tub only, or delivered into the room.
- Size: published outer dimensions and interior bathing length.
- Weight: the number your engineer needs for the floor check.
- Extras: drain, overflow, filler and any custom cutouts.
