Pietra Fonte

Terms of sale

Last updated October 21, 2026

These terms apply to every order placed with Pietra Fonte (“we”, “us”). Your quote, the approved drawings and these terms together form our agreement. If anything in your written quote differs from these terms, the quote wins.

1. Bespoke, made-to-order pieces

Every piece is made to your specification after you approve our drawings. Because it is made only for you, an order cannot be cancelled for a refund once production has started, except as these terms or the law require.

2. Natural stone

Natural stone varies in color, veining, pattern and texture, including within the same block. Fissures, pitting and color variation are natural features, not defects. Photos and samples are illustrative; on request we share photos of the actual stone before cutting.

Dimensions are within normal stone-working tolerances stated on your drawings.

3. Quotes, deposits and payment

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days and are in US dollars.
  • Production begins once you approve the drawings and pay the deposit stated in your quote.
  • Before cutting begins, you may cancel and receive your deposit back less any design and stone-reservation costs stated in your quote. Once cutting begins, the deposit is non-refundable.
  • The balance is due after you approve the inspection photos and video, and before the piece ships.
  • Sales tax is added where we are required to collect it.

4. Weight and installation

Stone pieces are heavy. You are responsible for confirming, with a qualified contractor or structural engineer, that the floor, wall or vanity structure can carry the piece, and for installation by a qualified plumber or installer in line with local codes. We provide the weight and specification of your piece before you order.

5. Delivery

Delivery terms, risk and damage claims are set out in our shipping and returns policy.

6. Warranty

We warrant that your piece will match the approved drawings within stated tolerances and be free from defects in workmanship on delivery. This does not cover natural characteristics of stone, damage from improper installation, use of acidic or abrasive cleaners, or normal wear. Your rights under state consumer law are not affected.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
