Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Pietra Fonte collects, why, and the choices you have, including your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA and other US state privacy laws.

What we collect

• What you give us: your name, email, phone, ZIP code, company, project details and budget range when you enquire, request a sample book or place an order; delivery address and order details when you buy.
• Automatically: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and the page or campaign that brought you to us, through cookies and similar technologies (see below).

How we use it

• To answer your enquiry, prepare quotes and drawings, make and deliver your order, and provide support.
• To send you the sample book and updates you asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To understand how our site is used and improve it.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to prevent fraud and spam.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who process it for us under contract: website hosting, database and email providers, analytics (Google Analytics), payment processing, and the workshops and carriers that make and deliver your piece (who receive only what they need, such as specifications and a delivery address). We do not sell your personal information for money.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics cookies to measure visits and see which pages are useful. We do not use advertising cookies. Under California law, some analytics sharing can count as “sharing” personal information; you can opt out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically.

Your rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. To make a request, email hello@pietrafonte.com; we will verify your request by confirming details you have given us. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with your signed permission.

How long we keep it

Enquiries we don't hear back about are deleted after 24 months. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally seven years.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
